Gorilla Radio – with Chris Cook – Briony Penn – Mar. 26, 2007

Like the prairie in Springtime, Canada's political spectrum approaching the imminent election is decidedly shifting green. But where there are those whose transformation coincides only with the prevailing winds of the politcal seasons, there are too evergreens; environmentalists first, seeking now to enjoin the fight from within the electoral arena. Briony Penn is an environmental scientist, illustrator, author, geographer, cartographer, and educator. She's perhaps best-known locally for hosting the award-winning television program, Enviro/Mental. Her natural history columns appear in Canadian Geographic, and Explore magazines, and her 'Wild Side' column for Monday Magazine has educated Victorians as to the nature of the treasures their environment provides for years. Briony Penn, and taking Ottawa in the first segment.
