Gorilla Radio with Chris Cook, Amy Goodman, Janine Bandcroft Dec. 7, 2009

A couple weeks ago, Democracy Now! presenter Amy Goodman was detained at Canada's Douglas Crossing as she traveled to Vancouver with her 'Breaking the Silence' book tour. The Canada Border Service demanded she and her colleagues surrender notes and their laptop computers after she denied her scheduled talk had anything to do with the upcoming Vancouver Olympics.

Though delayed, Goodman made it to Vancouver, and appeared in Victoria at the University of Victoria afterward, where she related her experience to a packed house.

Today, Amy Goodman (almost live) from the Michele Pujol Room, right here at the Student Union Building.

And; Victoria Street Newz publisher and CFUV broadcaster, Janine Bandcroft will join us at the bottom of the hour with goings on from Victoriaz streetz.

But first, Amy Goodman on the border of a fascist Kanada.
