This week on GR: In response to the global outcry against the massacre of nine known human rights activists aboard the Turkish cruise ship, Mavi Marmara, the Israeli government has said it will loosen its hold, allowing a broader list of products pass its checkpoints along the Gaza border; but, it’s not enough for activists and governments opposing the illegal blockade. At this moment, ships from Iran, Turkey, Lebanon, and Europe are preparing to try the Israeli navy, daring them to attack civilians with deadly force again.

And; Victoria-based peace and human rights activist, Terry Wolfwood is just returned from the 5th Annual Bil’in Conference of Popular Committees for Non-violent Resistance Against the Wall and the Occupation of Palestine. She was a member of the Canadian delegation, and representative of the Barnard-Boecker Centre Foundation.
