Gorilla Radio with Chris Cook, Barry Davis, Peter Ludlow June 24, 2013

No. It’s not a bird, or a plane, but it may be the new Supermen streaking across the skies above you, leaving in their wake a murky, lingering miasma that grows rather than dissipates as time goes by. Yes, look up in the sky. It’s not a bird, it’s not a plane, it’s a chemtrail, and it’s unofficially falling on you and everything you care about.

Barry Davis describes himself as a “very concerned citizen” who noticed long trails being produced by aircraft straying off regular flight paths. Being familiar with aviation procedures, he started looking into the irregularities, but soon found himself stonewalled. Since 2001, his countless letters and e-mails addressed across the gamut of government agencies have been discounted by seemingly unaccountable civil servants, and he sent on one wild goose chase after another through the Byzantine bureaucracy..

Meanwhile, Davis’ independent research has unearthed a plethora of disturbing information about the mysterious phenomena hiding in plain sight aloft.

And; while whistleblower Edward Snowden’s audacious international flight from American justice, and Wikileaks front man Julian Assange’s prolonged forced sanctuary in Ecuador’s London embassy, and US Marine private Bradley Manning’s kangaroo military tribunal hog the headlines, there is in America a new witch hunt being conducted by the Obama administration beyond the focus of the media spotlight. In the crosshairs are any government workers, or even, as in Snowden’s case, corporate contractors, who dare spill the beans about the machinations enabling the distinctly fascistic course the United States and her allies are headed on. Already, former constitutional law professor Barack Obama has charged and prosecuted more whistleblowers than all presidents previous – combined!

Peter Ludlow is Professor of Philosophy at Northwestern University in Chicago, where he works to unravel both the philosophy of language and the conceptual issues cyberspace presents. Last week, The Nation Magazine published his article ‘The Strange Case of Barrett Brown’ an account of the American satirist and journalist busted by the FBI following a twisted string of events that began with Brown’s written defense of the hacktivist collective, Anonymous. Barrett Brown is in federal prison now, held without bail and facing a century of jail time if convicted. And his mom is facing time in stir too! Peter Ludlow is also currently co-producing a documentary film tentatively titled, ‘Reality Wars’ on hacktivist actions against private intelligence firms and the surveillance state with Vivien Lesnik Weisman.

And; sadly, Victoria Street Newz publisher and CFUV Radio broadcaster, Janine Bandcroft will not be here at the bottom of the hour to bring us up to speed with the good things going on in and around our city and beyond this week, as she’s on an educational hiatus. So first up, Barry Davis and just what they are spraying us with.
